Very informative tour, the whole experience was brilliant. Hotel pick up and drop off, key information sent through the day before the tour. Very friendly driver, highly recommend!
A humbling experience that was very thought provoking. The guide was excellant at conveying the life experienced as well as the horrors inflicted on the people in the camps.
Excellent organization down to the last detail, very nice driver. At Auschwitz audio-guided tour, then shuttle transfer to Birkenau. All very touching--recommended

Everything! The tour guide was amazing she shown and told us so so much! Such a sad heart breaking experience but such an eye opener
Every perdon should visit Auschwitz at least once in their lives. This was my 4th. While you could never say it was enjoyable, it is an amazing experience. I thought mybprevious experiences were better, I felt my latest trip was very stream lined. Previous visits were more rugged and got a better experience of the camps. Having said that, I understand why it has changed, because of the large numbers of visitors. But I still preferred my previous visits. I would still recommend that people visit these 2 camps.
The organization was very good. The German-speaking guide was really great. What wasn't good at all was the lunch package that we booked afterwards!!!

It was insightful. No problem with bus or driver. Surely the guide speaks better english, than if speak Polish, except she kept confusing me every time she said pre-ZONErs. I couldn't figure out who this group of people were until I was farther away and barely heard her. Much to my surprise, she was actually saying PRIZoners.
A superb excursion, a very nice driver, a top guide, and a great group of French people. If you want to visit Auschwitz Birkenau, I highly recommend taking the tour here. We would have liked even more time on site. Thanks for everything, the price is very reasonable for what's on offer.

The bus driver was extremely friendly, helpful and funny. The bus arrived at the pick-up point on time and was clean. It's not the kind of place you have a great time and indeed I never expected to. I put good on my review as the tour guide was amazing with knowledge and the way he respectfully presented life and deth within the camps back in the day. Some of the exhibits were heart wrenching but need to be seen as an educational reminder of how cruel history was back then. The tour was excellently organised from pick up in Krakow central to drop off the same evening. The tour was very informative and the same time heavy going to take in the misery and murder that occurred at that site. Tour guide was fantastic and could answer everyone's questions.
My girlfriend and I recently took part in the 'From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfers,' and it was an incredibly moving experience. The tour was very well-organized, and the transfers were smooth, making the journey comfortable. Our guide, Helena, was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate, providing insightful and respectful commentary throughout the entire tour. Visiting both Auschwitz and Birkenau was deeply emotional for both of us, and it was a sobering reminder of such an important part of history. We both appreciated the opportunity to reflect and learn. Highly recommend this tour, especially with such an excellent guide like Helena.

The best part was the guided tour in Wieliczka, the guide was really good and spoke English well. Also our driver for the day, Michal, was very nice and helpful the whole day.
Despite a last-minute schedule change (departure delayed by 1 hour and morning and afternoon tours reversed), organization was excellent and the day ran smoothly. Communication via a Whatsapp loop and the timing of breaks (important in an 11-hour day!) contributed to this. We had ordered lunch boxes the day before, which were delivered to us as we boarded the coach in the morning. The coach was also very clean and comfortable. Our guide literally lived his comments and explanations, which made the visits very moving in these places with a heavy past. Frankly, we recommend it. Bravo

I really enjoyed the excursion, they were punctual and gave advance notice of the change of schedule, via WhatsApp and email. We were able to visit two places on the same day, which was fantastic! Things to improve: we couldn't understand the guide very well, his English wasn't clear. There was no time for lunch, we had 10-minute breaks which we had to manage: between going to the toilet and/or having a snack. On the way back they dropped us off at the agreed place, but suggested several times that we could get off at a previous stop and walk back, it was raining, so we chose not to accept the suggestion. Overall, we were happy with our choice, there were no major problems, only aspects to improve. The tour was great.

The visit of such an important historical place is worth it and the salt mine is spectacular and I recommend it 100%. The departure at 5:20am with no option to have breakfast on the way was a bad experience. The entrance to Auswitchz was very messy with only two people at the entrance. They should improve for the amount of visitors.

I would avoid head out if possible! We got a confirmation email that stated that the departure window was 7:30-10 am and that the exact pick-up time would be confirmed a day before. A day before we got a message that the pick-up time would be 5:30!!! Somewhere in the site it stated that the pick-up times may vary and the support team, which took a month to answer my message (!!), thought that this was enough to inform the customer. The new departure time was two hours before the departure window stated in the email and I think that I’m not the only one who thinks this was too early. It was also too late to change plans for us, just a day before! I don't understand why in this case the departure window was gone in the beginning if it's completely disregarded. Second problem was that even with this outrageously early departure time there was still a lot of queuing and the schedule was tight due to that. We didn’t have time for bathroom or food after Auschwitz and were told that there would be a longer break after Birkenau. The longer break for walking to the bus, getting a snack and toilets was 15 minutes, which was not enough and me and my friend had a terrible headache for the rest of the day and couldn’t do anything else in the evening after the trip. Thirdly, we were told that the trip would be 10,5-11 hours and even with such an early start to a day, the whole trip took 12 hours. There was also something positive: the guide in the concentration camps was great and it was really humbling to get to visit the camps.
The company canceled my tour, disrupting my travel itinerary. Furthermore, I still haven't received my money back, increasing my costs even further.
Our tour was cancelled two hours before the start.
Auschwitz-Birkenau opportunity not to be missed. Well prepared guide and very informative. Provided transport from hotel excellent. Salt Mines interesting but at times a bit lengthy. Exit a bit confusing. Provided transport to hotel excellent.
Renata was our fantastic chaffeur to and from Krakow and made every effort to get is there safely and on time. Entrance lines were seemless. One recommendation is that the driver for the Salt Mine excursion (different to Renata), collects people from the actual exit of the Salt Mine and folks are not expected to find the parking lot (which is very confusing). Otherwise an awesome day spent, thank you!
At birkenau we barely had time to get in, a brief explanation, and out we went. Twenty minutes, even less, compared to the one hour wait. The bus came by an hour earlier than expected precisely to avoid standing in line, which was an hour and a half in the cold on site anyway. However, Daniel was supportive.

The tour was excellent but very disappointed with the 4.45am start as the fast track tickets are just a gimmick and not real. We all had to queue for 2 hours like everyone else.
Very well organised. We had an issue with one of the tickets provided as it had the wrong name. The tour leader sorted it very quickly and made sure we were able to enter the museum. Great experience and very helpful!
The night before our 6am meet up we got a message saying that we didn't have tickets booked anymore online except for the bus and that our pick up time was changed to 4.35am. We then queued from 6.25am to 9am just to buy tickets. And our tour didn't start until 1.30pm. The purpose of booking a tour that promises fast track entry to beat the queue is to receive that. And unfortunately our Auschwitz guide rushed us through the tour. We didn't really get the opportunity to spend time inside to take it all in. It was disappointing.
good agreement regarding transportation. Very competent guide, who spoke in a clear and understandable Enges. It was an emotional visit.

The pick-up from a previously communicated meeting point - it is actually advertised as pick-up from the hotel, although the bus is apparently not allowed to drive anywhere in the Old Town - was OK. The tour was very professional, and the guide repeatedly pointed out how personally affected she was because relatives of hers were also in the camp. However, the fact that the bus driver simply threw the group out of the bus in the pouring rain in an area not normally visited by tourists was an imposition.

Headout kept in touch with us throughout the process, with information and reminders about pick up times , documents needed etc. our guide Susanna was great . In Auschwitz despite the number of visitors all was well organised. Our guide was fantastic - well informed and very respectful of the task.
The purchase of tickets was easy from Headout Tours and the follow-up coordination provided by the tour operator was amazing as my cell phone did not work but they left a message with front desk to advise of time change of tour. The van driver was amazing picking us up and coordinating food for us. The tour guide I would guess was the best one there as he was full of knowledge with even the smallest detail, I observed other tour guides just flying by the exhibits and we were not, he had taken his time. I would rate this whole experience as a 10 out of 10. Jean Duguay Canada
Other than a change in the timing from the AM to PM tour, everything was on point. Coach driver was great and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour itself was amazing
The friendliness and helpfulness of our driver was outstanding! Otherwise, the tour was poorly organized, when I book with a transfer, I expect the means of transport to remain on site and not carry out further transfers in between, so that I still have to wait 55 minutes for the pick-up at the end of the tour. And only bringing the departure forward by about 1 hour and then picking us up 25 minutes late is an indication of extremely poor tour planning.

The transfer was super smooth and swift. We got super clear information every step of the way so we always knew what was expected of us to make this experience easy. It was really nice to have everything taken care of so well.
Comfortable vehicle for the transportation. Not too much time waiting for tour to start on arrival. Small hiccup with meeting time which local operator resolved.
A very moving and challenging experience, with a very knowledgeable and well-informed guide. Pick-up and transfer from Krakow to Auschwitz went very smoothly, with a very helpful and efficient driver. The only 'blip' in the process was that once we had booked and paid for a 9.00a.m. pick-up online, we immediately got an email saying, ' Due to circumstances beyond our control, the pick-up time is now 5.55a.m.' When I rang to query this, the lady on the other end said there was nothing they could do. Given the nature of the museum that we visited, though, it seems churlish to complain too much, and I would certainly say that anyone visiting that area should visit Auschwitz/Birkenau.

The first part was still okay, but still ... sometimes I wanted to wander around to read the signs ... for example, the gynecological experimentation block was not commented on ... the guide's comments were given while we were still in a previous room, so there was a gap ... The worst was Birkenau... we entered... we went to the ruined room .... we saw a single barrack... and Fin 😡 While there was a children's barrack ... not seen ... right side as you enter ... not seen !.... on the plan it says kitchen bathroom...not seen ?! ... the sauna ?!...not seen Really disappointed with this pace... and on top of that, no more guide book in French 😡 Frankly, I preferred to have time to myself without a guidebook!

Our experience was very good. The whole tour lasted around seven hours (as we were informed when we made the reservation), we returned on time and were able to enjoy a nice dinner and drinks in the old town. Our driver, Patryk, was very kind and friendly. Our guide (I can't remember his name) was also very good, with excellent knowledge and gave us the tour exactly as we had imagined for this particular place, with calmness and respect. Overall, we are very satisfied!
Accuracy of all arrangments and perfect guidance of the tours. Patrick did a Verzonden good job
Excellent communication with pick up & drop off; driver very courteous and friendly. We all enjoyed the experience from start to finish, ticketing all taken care of and our English tour guide was brilliant. Happy customers :) thank you
our guide the tour sound like a movie narrator… He was excellent and really engaging and I'm probably spelling his name wrong but it was something like Matthias.
To change the pick up time from 9am to 6am at less than 18 hours notice is unacceptable. No reason given and it was not helpful at all. Our guide and excursion was fine - although the minibus was very cramped & full.
The tour of Auschwitz was very emotional and very well organised. However on our arrival at Auschwitz at 08.30hrs we were informed by our driver that our tour was not until 11.00hrs and we should go to Birkenbau. He took us to Birkenbau and left us to look around by ourselves with no tour guide. We were then collected and returned for our 11.00hrs tour. This was not what we had booked. We were walking blindly around Birkenbau gathering information from signs. The guide would have provided a far better insight and detailed knowledge. I know this as the guide that took us around Auschwitz was excellent and he was due to be our guide as Birkenbau.
Great driver and a very cool guide. The storytelling was perfect in spire of the tragic story
My brother and I paid for an English speaking guide and were told when picked up by the hotel that "no English speaking guides" would be available on the day of our visit (10 Oct 2024) to Auschwitz (booking id 21034794 - Partner ref # COM-T7969283). Everyone in our group was complaining, but the driver just told everyone to contact the office regarding the issue and a credit should be applied to our credit card for the lack of a guide. Essentially we wandered around the sites without any real understanding what we were looking at and wasted a lot of time. We should have been given a credit on our booking to which we had already paid AUD $294 in full on-line. This is the 2nd time i have sent this complaint and I am yet to hear back from anyone regarding the matter. I have since read many reviews regarding this tour and others have experienced similar problems. I await a response this time to what credit I will receive?? regards Terence Dwyer
Everything was great from start to finish. Our driver Norbert was fantastic and our tour guide was great and very good explaining everything on the tour
It was well organized. I know that you have no control over it but you need a lot more time than 2 1/2 hours to take it all in. The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. I wish I could have had more time at certain parts to reflect.
Seemed like bait and switch. Time changed by almost four hours and did not have small group tour signed up for. You need to do a better job screening your providers. Tour in Auschwitz 1 seemed rushed.
We had expected longer time to explore the venue. We felt the guide rushed the experience with little or no time to read the information boards or take photos. The older and slower members of the group were left behind and missed some of his commentary.
Damien was a great driver and was wonderful getting us through the queues. He was instrumental in getting us a fast lunch between Camp 1 and Birkenau
The entire experience from pickup/ drop to/ from Auschwitz tour was very good. Our driver Greg was very humble and good natured and made the journey smooth. He was patient and also provide information about the whereabouts of the city. Our English Tour guide was very nice orator. It was very informative and interesting tour. She was good with taking up questions and answered them. Overall the experience was good for us.
The tour was very well run. Our guide was very friendly and was able to give us as much information as possible. He also gave us his opinion, which was very important for us as non-Polish citizens. Auschwitz is definitely a must-see in everyone's life. But once is enough. After that you have many open questions for yourself, for the future of our world. We would like to thank everyone who organized our tour and especially our guide.

We booked a small group tour and this was changed at the last minute. We found the venue far too crowded. Movement in some buildings was too congested and wasn't respectful to the sadness of the storyline. Our guide was on a route March and didn't take account of us who had mobility issues. That was why we chose a small group. Not happy.
Everything was well organised and the tour guide was excellent. A very reflective and sobering visit which made the horrors of this human tragedy very real.

The pickup was earlier than originally advised (6.20am instead of 8.00am) but it was all on time. We arrived to be met by a guide who took us round Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz- Birkenau. The guide was very informative and was able to answer all sorts of questions relating to the visit. A guided tour is a great idea but it is well worth reading up on the subject before going.
Oui Pour information votre site n'est pas clair Nous avons reçu une confirmation nous indiquant que les billets étaient téléchargeables or rien. Apart from changing the time of the trip from 8am to 12.45 and not hotel pick up,about a mile away from hotel. The tour was as expected
The guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and respectful. He brought the experience to life, so powerful a visit. Thank you.

Excellent tour guide. Very informative and respectful.
Transport and date kept changing. Tiny bus they cram you on. We couldn't understand our tour guide and he was very un emotional, missing out key bits of information.
Only the tour. I was changed both the time of the tour and the pick-up point, which was placed almost a kilometer away from the one scheduled at my hotel. Very poor respect for services offered and not maintained!

Initially we had booked for a 10:00am time slot. A day in advance we were notified that we had to be ready at 6:20am. In retrospect, this time was better because it was still relatively quiet everywhere. The bus arrived on time, our packed lunch was ready. Within 1.5h we were at Camp Auschwitz. Very impressive how they set up the museum, informative. We had a good guide who we could understand loud and clear using transmitter/ears. After Auschwitz we went to Camp Birkenau, which was the real extermination camp. Ruins of the gas chambers, barracks. I absolutely recommend this trip and book early!!!

Amazing experience and really informative. Emily was amazing as our tour guide
I'd been waiting to visit Auschwitz since I was 12. Today I'm 32. When I booked, I thought there was a distinction between a half-day tour (3.5 hours) and a full-day tour (7 hours). As I'd been looking forward to this visit for a long time, I'd booked the full day. In reality, the tour of Camp 1 lasts about 2 hours and that of Camp 2 (Birkenau) about 1 hour. The rest is shuttle time from the hotel to the main bus and then to Auschwitz, 60-70 km from Krakow. I'd recommend using a tour operator for both the journey and the entrance to the memorial. Much simpler, given the crowds. Once there, I was amazed by the crowds at Auschwitz. Personally, I don't like crowds, but it's a good thing that so many people are perpetuating the duty of remembrance. For the tour in French, we were lucky enough to be guided by Dorothée. Our guide didn't just tell us the facts about the camp, but invited us to see every story behind every photo or pair of shoes. She also brought meaning to the visit, asking us about the banality of evil and the links between present and past. My only regret, which is not her responsibility, is that I felt the visits to the end of Camp 1 and Camp 2 were rushed because there was a time limit to be met. Despite this, she took the time to answer all our questions, and I was left with reading tips for afterwards. Concerning the lunch packs, the confirmation e-mail the day before was confusing. It invited you to book your lunch pack via a website, so I thought I hadn't done so with the main booking. As a result, we got 4 packs for 2. But that's a detail among the rest of the visit, which went very well. It's quite an organization considering the crowd present. Many thanks to Dorothée for the tour. This experience, although emotionally difficult at times, is essential to maintain the duty of remembrance and ensure that it never happens again.

Pick-up at 6am instead of 10:30am, really not great, we were given less than 24 hours' notice, so we couldn't cancel. Otherwise, the rest of the tour was perfect.

Our tour time was moved earlier than anticipated, and the pick up pint also changed, but we were told about this in good time. The packed lunch hit the sport, and the tour guide at Auschwitz was wonderful. You must go.
Ticketing experience was easy and convenient. Our tour experienced a time change and a text message or phone call notification would have made the process less complicated however, the process was overall organized. Sarah provided a detailed experience with thorough and meaningful information.
Our guide Patricia was fantastic very infomative and passionate only seen on tv before it brings you back down ro earth.
It was planned perfectly! Very friendly and respectful
The guide on site was perfect, the driver late, dangerous driving!

This ticket has the following options that you can choose from:
The experience was not what we expected with the other companions. The day before, late in the evening, your intermediary company wrote to us that the trip to Auschwitz was cancelled. During the trip, it became clear that they waited until the last moment to buy tickets, because they explained to us that they are a small company and there, if someone cancels the trip, Auschwitz does not return the money. Which is not right after the tickets are paid in advance and you come from another country to look and to be told at the second last minute that they didn't buy tickets is rude. Then when we went to Wieliczka Salt Mine and traveled by van, we had bought lunch because it said on the website that the tour was 11 hours and we left it in the van while we were in the mines, no one told us that the van would be used by another group , after the trip was over and we had lunch, most of the group were missing things from lunch. The least the company should have done was compensate us with it. After that, the money returned to our accounts is not enough, in my opinion, as compensation. I don't think I will rate the experience highly, I will even spread the word to people that you are incorrect and I will not use your services again.
Was booked 2 different tours: Salt Mines and Auschtwitz Birkenau. Just the day before, Auschwitz tour was cancelled without any explanation, just due to operational issues. Requested to reimburse the tour (50% of paid package) but has been only accepted by provided to pay 25%. This is totally unacceptable as a service was paid in advance was cancelled and not credited. Extremelly bad experience with provided service and waiting to get full reimbursement for cancelled tour.
Very informative and educational tour. Daniel our tour guide was very helpful and accommodating and gave very clear instructions.
Great tour, the guides where great! Big up Charles and Pavel, brilliant duo that made us feel welcome and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend using this group for your tours 😁👌
It was well organised except that we weren't collected from our hotel. We were also asked initially to walk a 20 minute distance to get the bus at 6.25am, however, when I said it was too far a better arrangement was made. Andrea (the Italian man) was very helpful and pleasant. The guides were also very good and informative. It was a great experience Mark & Rhona
There was a really lack of communication from the driver who often left us stood waiting for him. We had breaks in places where we couldn't go inside or when we returned he wasn't on the bus leaving us in the cold. His driving was also pretty scary. That said, the place we went to met our expectations.
Great experience overall. We overslept and missed the bus but met the group going from Auswitch. We took an Uber and everyone from the company were very helpful guiding us to meet the group. We got to experience Auswitch a little bit but got the whole Birkenau tour. Although a very sad history lesson a good reminder of how ugly the world can be and that we can not close our eyes to the current situation in Ukrain! The guide was spectacular and the salt mines a must. Thank you 🙏
Everything was as described in Headout homepage. Everything was planned and without any problems. Only I would like to have an English speaking driver. From other hand our driver was very polite and was driving safe. ☺️ I also liked that Headout send me text message with departure time, location ( also a link to Google maps) and local weather podcast for that day.
